BERLIN

In the world of independent fashion retail North Melbourne icon Kids in Berlin is definitely one of the good guys. Despite their unlikely location (The Errol Street end of Victoria Street, North Melbourne) Kids in Berlin has survived and thrived and grown into something of an institution in the local handmade and craft scene. To date KIB stock and support over 200 Australian made labels.

There
is a massive
selection
Australian
made jewellery and accessories,
including stars of the indie craft scene - Love/Hate,
Limedrop, Victoria Mason, Madz Has Runaway, Wah Wah Wears, Skulk of Foxes and yours truly
Corky.

Hand made owl purse by Scotatto.

Man, I love this wood and acrylic brooch by Candy Stripe. This label are experts at laser cutting. The amount of work that goes into each piece is mind boggling. How cute are the little love heart sesame seeds?

Weird, gothy resin work by Allan.

There is also a great selection of locally made clothing. That's new owner Zan in the background at the end of a long day. It was night already and she was kind enough to let me stage this photo shoot for Corky Blog. Thank you Zan.... ;o)

I like rainbows, crystals, coloured pencils, swimming, manifesting, visualising, poetry, going out for breakfast, graphic novels, air conditioning, miniature anything, clothing made from synthetic fabrics, travelling, travelling, staying in nice hotels, headphones, husbears + soft hands. I don't like people who make me feel tired.
